My name is Rosemarie Becker, and I have had the pleasure of teaching Springfield Township Middle School students about research and reading for the past seventeen years. I am a Reading Olympics advisor and a member of the Middle School's Leadership and Data Teams, as well as a member of the District's Technology Committee.
Our new Middle School Library is under construction, so for now, library instruction and activities take place in rooms 211 and 213. Regardless of the location, students have access to a collection of terrific books, to outstanding technology, and to online resources that support middle level learning. Students visit the Library both independently and with their teachers to conduct research, to work on projects, and to select reading material. Credentials
Before coming to Springfield, I taught language arts to middle school students and worked as both an elementary and a high school librarian. I hold a B.A. in English and a Secondary Education Certificate from Gwynedd Mercy College as well as an M.S. in Library Science from Villanova University. I recently earned National Board Certification in Library Media, K-12.
